Beginning Blocks

Thanks to this...

we have a snow day today :D

In between writing reports, I've been working on some long term, slow projects - the only type that I think are going to get done this year.

This is the start of a wall hanging for the top of the stairs, using my solids from the Sew Solids Crew Stash Club which Hubs bought me for Christmas...

Sneaky peek of my first attempt - oops!

I've also bought a FQ stack of Cuzco and started this, block no one is here...

Not too bad, but I think I need to work on the neatness of the flying geese.

Both projects are intended to be long term, one a month kind of things - the pressure of my new job is already making me realise that I shouldn't add any more pressure from my hobby!

Linking up with Let's Get Aquainted Monday, at Fabric Mutt this week.

Plum and June
PS - still spaces on the Pay It Forward...

  2. Lovely blocks - I love the echo of the background fabric in the star. Brilliant. We had a snow day Friday too, but not too much sewing with the Littlies hanging around! x

  5. They both look great! I'm in love with the fist one. I agree with you about slow projects... it is so much fun when the preassure is off.
